L22 Press

L22 Press is a new commission from Spare Room Residency.  Each month a different artist will produce a new work for Crosby Library noticeboards on Liverpool Road, accompanied by workshops, talks and other events.

Spare Room Residency, hosted by Jamie Sorensen, invites artists to spend a week at a time in Waterloo, making or exploring new work, and connecting with the location and Liverpool’s artist-led scene.

L22 Press is part of At The Library, a new programme of work inviting artists and communities to be creative in Sefton’s Libraries.  Funded by Arts Council England and Sefton Council.

Pool Our Resources

A project by Sean Roy Parker and the Human Library.

Pool Our Resources was a three day series of free skill-swaps, workshops, demonstrations and food-sharing at Crosby Library. Looking at reintroducing elements of craft, thrift and up cycling back into everyday life, Pool Our Resources invited audiences to celebrate the strength and depth of collective knowledge and emphasising the importance of the library as an active social space.

Workshops where led by artists, librarians, social enterprises and local people including, DIY with Bootle Tool Shed, Embroidery with Dorlin’s Haberdashers, Bread for Beginners with Homebaked, and candle-making with For Lane Allotments.

Pool Our Resources is a project by artist Sean Roy Parker, initiator of PEFA projects, lead artists at Camden Arts Centre and chef at The Brixton Pound.
